With many hands making light work, members of the Oander team, along with our valued clients and partners enjoyed helping Surrey Wildlife Trust with hedgerow planting and maintenance works in the grounds of West Horsley Place, West Horsley, Leatherhead.
Oander’s corporate partnership with Surrey Wildlife Trust started in early 2023. Oander Charitable Foundation had already supported the Trust in seeking to preserve and protect the Kitchen Copse which is a semi-natural ancient woodland.
This enjoyable day, which also saw some much-welcomed early spring sunshine, gave everyone the opportunity to support the ‘Hedgerow Heritage Project’ which seeks to restore, renew and create hedgerows in the North Downs and Surrey Hills.
Reinstating natural corridors between wildlife populations connecting one habitat to another. Without this connectivity, wildlife populations would become isolated and struggle to reproduce and survive.
The project seeks to leave a legacy of healthy hedgerows and for future generations to enjoy.
We would like to thank those who joined us including NHS Property Services, Crawley Borough Council, Made Architects and Project Centre – we hope you are not too stiff in the morning!
