Oander are pleased to provide an update on the energy enhancement project at Waterlooville Health Centre on behalf of NHS Property Services which has been underway on site since the end of January.
This week the project passed another key milestone with the commencement of the insulated render system to the external envelope of the building. The render system will be finished to achieve a brick effect appearance in keeping with the existing appearance with the sample panel recently finished as can be seen below.
In addition to the new triple glazed windows that are now installed the addition of the insulated render will improve the thermal properties of the building and reduce energy usage and associated day to day running costs.
A new incoming electrical main has been installed to provide an enhanced supply for the new air source heat pumps which are also now on site and due to be installed shortly. Once installed and operational , the new heat pumps will remove the reliance on gas as a primary source of heating.
The project also includes the provision of solar panels at the site to further boost the sustainability credentials and additionally the provision of new EV car charging points.
Other refurbishment works within the centre are currently ongoing working around the health centre’s operational teams which continue to function at the site whilst the work is taking place.
We look forward to providing further updates in due course.
