With the team having strong links with Crawley, Oander were delighted to be able to support Crawley Council’s floral wellbeing project, in which Oander sponsored a number of flower troughs located throughout the town.
The idea behind Crawley Council’s floral wellbeing project is to provide a positive image for Crawley and the towns broader communities. The floral decorations designed to enhance the environment and give a sense of prosperity and civic pride to the residents, visitors and the business community.
The flowers are concentrated around the town centre and the major approach roads, particularly in areas where vehicles accumulate such as traffic lights. The idea is that in these locations, where traffic is often stationary, the goregeous smells from the highly scented plants and flowers should waft into the open car windows and brighten up the occupants day.
Oander’s sponsored flower troughs can be found along the cetral reservation by Three Bridges train station where traffic is very often heavy. The sheer weight of traffic combined with a series of traffic lights and pedestrian crossinngs often results in a large amount of stationary traffic. We hope that the Oander sponsered flower troughs will bring pleasure to statioary and slow moving motorists by brightening up the road side and creating a lovely calming aroma.
