Oander were delighted to be approached and asked to support the Free Shop Crawley School Shoe Appeal.
The appeal has raised almost £7,000 throughout the year through kind donations and fundraising events. The vision being to ensure that every school child in Crawley does not go back to school in September with worn down or broken school shoes.
Oander’s Managing Director, Ben Davies said; “As a business, Oander believe that we have a responsibility to contribute positively to our local community. Considering how many of our team live in the town, along with the fact a high number of the town’s residents work at Gatwick and the impact that Covid-19 has had on the aviation industry, this is a great opportunity to be able to support those during this challenging period”.
Crawley Free Shop was set up in the heart of Crawley with a simple mantra to provide fresh groceries and daily essentials for over 400 people a week in a dignified way, irrespective of their financial situation, so that people can access necessities that are normally taken for granted by so many.
The School Shoe Appeal is in full swing, with 112 children from across the town already being invited visit Clarks Shoes, being treated to the full Clarks experience of their feet measured then selecting their favourite new shoes to wear into the new school year with pride.
