Oander are pleased to welcome, time served, built environment professional, Dave Houghton who has joined the growing team who are supporting a range of clients across the built environment.
Joining us from Mace, where Dave previously held the position of Senior Engineering Manager, Dave’s experience spans an impressive three decades, which during this time has held senior positions in Transport for London (TfL) and Balfour Beatty Rail / Birse Metro.
Having worked for both Contracting and Client organisations, this places Dave in a unique position to understand the drivers and pressures which apply to both, but with this insight he is able to advise, navigate and support our clients in delivering their capital works projects.
With a considerable tenure delivering projects within live, operational environments, Dave is well versed in managing multiple stakeholders, whilst providing practical and pragmatic solutions.
Starting his career as a site engineer, working through the ranks, some of his recent assignments have included leading and analysis of TfL landholdings and identification of development opportunities to generate revenue for foundation future capital programme schemes, leading feasibility studies, concept design and transitioning schemes in delivery. Representing clients and landholders as their representative with Developers and Local Authorities.
Commenting on joining Oander, Dave said “I am enjoying and looking forward to working with my Oander colleagues, continuing their can-do attitude and drives to add value when delivering complex projects within live environments such as community hospitals and health centres”.
With Oander Operations Director, Steve Carrington adding “we are delighted Dave has joined the team, which further adds to our expertise, commitment and investment with the addition of such a senior and experienced built environment professional. Dave will provide further depth to our delivery capability and I look forward to working with him to deliver on our clients future capital works programmes”.
