This month saw the completion of 555 London Road, Leigh-on-Sea, which was a mixed use scheme providing nine high quality apartments with a new commercial space and associated parking.
Oander worked closely with the developer, Prittlewell Developments, who are part of the wider Regis Group, providing and undertaking the role of Contract Administrator.
Built over a period of 18 months, under a Design and Build form of Contract, the building is a mixture of traditional and steel frame construction, with pre-cast concrete plank floors.
Whilst each apartment benefits from their own balcony and terrace, there is also a large communal roof top terrace which can be accessed by all, providing much needed amenity space.
The project was built by local contractor, Sweeney UK, who proactively managed the works including undertaking extensive stakeholder management considering the site boundary adjoins the busy pedestrian thoroughfare and high street.
With several unique design features, such as the louvres on the balconies which provide a particular style and feature to the external façade of the building, but also provides a level of privacy to the terrace balconies.
The development also incorporated a number of green credentials including EV charging points for each of the apartments and a solar array on the roof.
With the development now complete, we are sure those who move into the property, will enjoy living in this new development.
